SGIP in a nutshell
Self Generation Incentive Program

Rebate program. Rebates provided through the State of California and Public Utility companies (PG&E).

Eligibility Requirements

Equity Program: $150/kWh
  • 50% total open to general population

  • 50% given to "High Priority" locations (fire) or Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS)

Equity Resiliency Program: $1,000/kWh
  • High Priority location (fires) or Planned Power Shutoffs ​

  • ​Medical needs requiring power or  income for your area <80% median​

  • 501(c)3 non-profits, schools and small businesses are eligible if you can provide a resiliency center during emergencies

Battery Equity Program: $1,100/kWh and $3.10/W for Solar

GoGreen in a nutshell

  • Financing backed by the State of California and Public Utility Companies (PG&E). Lower rates possible.
  • No Deal Fee, No Closing Costs, No Lien.
  • Up to 30% financing can be used for non-energy upgrades
  • Rates between 3.27% - 8.12% as of October 15, 2024.
  • Approval required before beginning project.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Credit score of 580 or higher
  • Good for any energy upgrades including solar and batteries
  • Major utility (PG&E, SDGE)
  • Renters (with landlord permission), 1-4 residential units and manufactured homes on foundation

Sonoma County Energy Incentive Program

Eligibility Requirements

  • 7.99% interest rate as October 15, 2024
  • Tied to Property Taxes

  • Keep money local (used to run SCEIP program, etc.)

  • No money down, pay off anytime

  • Works for roofing, solar, batteries, insulation, etc. 

  • Consumer protections built in

  • Accessible communication
